1/5/2007 - "ENLIGHTENED SECOND CHANCES"
Karen welcomes Julio Medina, the Executive Director/Founder and CEO of Exodus Transitional Community, Inc. a not-for-profit organization established in 1999 which works with men and women transitioning from incarceration. Under the leadership of Mr. Medina, Exodus Transitional Community (ETC) has served over 3,000 men and women and has become one of the most successful re-entry programs throughout the country.
Karen and Julio will discuss his own 12-year prison sentence and how his faith in God and belief in his neighbors forced him to see the layers of pain that existed within each person in prison. Join us for this inspiring show.
1/12/2007 - "REFLECTIONS on the JOURNEY SO FAR"
Karen is very happy to welcome back the very first guest of Embracing the Journey, Kate Buggeln. As a Governing Board member, Kate helps lead the Business Council for Peace (www.bpeace.org), a U.N. affiliated organization helping women in regions of conflict and post-conflict build businesses to sustain their families and strengthen their abilities to foster peace. Present projects are underway in Afghanistan where Kate has led several missions and Rwanda where she last visited in the Fall of 2005.
Kate and Karen will discuss her journey since October of 2005 both from the perspective of her personal growth and the growth of BPeace. Tune in to hear this fascinating update.
1/26/2007 - "ROADSIGNS on the SPIRITUAL PATH"
This week Karen welcomes Philip Goldberg, a spiritual counselor, meditation teacher and ordained Interfaith Minister. The author or coauthor of 17 books, he lectures and leads workshops throughout the country. Philip is also the Director of the Forge Guild of Spiritual Leaders and Teachers and the founder of Spiritual Wellness Associates. His most recent book, Roadsigns on the Spiritual Path: Living at the Heart of Paradox, was just released in paperback by Sentient Publications.
Philip and Karen will discuss the perils and promises we encounter as we journey along our spiritual paths. We also talk about Philip's own journey and how he has created a career that melds beautifully with his own spiritual core. Tune in for a very interesting hour.

Karen welcomes David Riveness, founder and CEO of
Corporate Jester and the author of The Secret Life of the Corporate Jester. The book reveals how to adopt and apply a "jester's perspective" to create positive change in organizational behavior and culture. True jestership is not about wearing colorful costumes and entertaining others with jokes, but is, instead, a unique perspective into organizational impact.
Dave and Karen will discuss how the perspectives and behaviors of a jester can be understood and adopted by anyone regardless of their organization, role or position.
2/9/2007 - "FOUNDING A NEW LIFE"
Karen welcomes Tom Dailey. Tom was a founder at Discover Card, a unit of Morgan Stanley, serving for over 22 years. He was a senior executive responsible for a multi-billion dollar division and a member of the management committee. Tom Dailey is also the founder of Valtegrics, LLC which provides presentations, workshops and programs supporting values, integrity, ethics and spirituality.
Tom and Karen will discuss how despite his professional accomplishments, corner office and money, he was not truly happy until he focused on discovering his own personal values and using them productively - for himself and others.

Judi is one of the earliest pioneers in spirituality at work. The Center is a membership organization, and offers networking, publications, research, courses, and consulting to individuals and organizations. The goal of this non-profit organization is to legitimize spirituality in the workplace and to provide resources to individuals and organizations that are committed to transformation. The Center’s website, www.spiritatwork.org, is known as “information central” of the spirituality in the workplace movement. Join us to hear Judi share why she founded The Center in 1992 and what the landscape was like at that time.
