His Biography

Gary Hirsch is President of the Enlightened Business Institute where he manages all aspects of the company’s consulting, training and coaching practices and serves as a Professional Business Coach. He has taught and coached business people on five continents and currently counsels clients in the US, Canada, Croatia, Mainland China, Singapore, and Europe. On November 3, 2005 he spoke at a financial summit in Zurich, Switzerland about the evolving nature of spirituality in business worldwide.

During the 1990’s he served as Vice President for two management consulting firms for a diverse group of clients including the United States Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Southern Company, Con Edison, the Tennessee Valley Authority and more.

Prior to his consulting career he was employed by the State of Washington where he served as Assistant Director for an entrepreneurial natural resources agency. In this role, Gary was recognized four times by Governors and Agency directors for excellence in public service. He also worked for 15 years as a journeyman electrician.  

He has advised governors and legislators on energy matters and is currently a Director of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council, an association of energy businesses.  Mr. Hirsch is a student of Geshe Michael Roach and has a B.A. in Energy Engineering from the Evergreen State College. He has served as Director on the boards of several northwest non- profit and industry organizations.
