David SableDavid Sable began his career in the 1970’s writing educational children’s stories and conducting research on new learning technologies in New York City. Today he works as a management consultant and teaches university courses relating spirituality to work.  David is also studying the impact of contemplative practices on critical thinking in an interdisciplinary PhD program at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, where he now lives. He has presented his work in the academic community, at meditation centers, and in professional workshops in the U.S. and Canada.

David has been an authorized meditation teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition for thirty years. He was formerly the Director of the Shambhala Meditation Center in Washington D.C. and studied Sanskrit and Comparative Religion at Columbia University in New York.

He was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Centre for Spirituality and the Workplace at St. Mary’s University and continues his role as a teacher of Buddhism and meditation.
